It’s called the forward follow-up tactic or forward follow-up formula and the first time I saw it was by Lewis Howes and it was when I had registered for one of his I mean one of his webinars it was an automated webinar which I knew but I don’t think it was being promoted. I registered and I didn’t show up you know I was like many people they just expect the replay right.

So I actually got an email it was probably later that day you know three four hours after the webinar time and it was a forward like now you can forward an email it shows up like FW : and it said you know like why didn’t Greg attend and so I had my name in it and then it came from someone else not Louis and it was like Louis’s assistant and the email is super short it said something like hey Greg you know I think you know this is Brittany I work with Louis and just wanted to reach out and see you know I noticed you weren’t able to attend just wanted to see you know what happened and you know if you want to register for the next one click the link to register for the next webinar and you can see below that you know like if you kind of see like an email thread you can see an email from Louis to his assistant saying why you know can you shoot Gregg an email and see why hidden show up it was it was set up to feel like it was coming from his assistant.

It was all automated but like not only not only being the forward but being from someone else and super short so that can see like hey you know I’m just following up on behalf of Luis you can see below you know I’m like you look below in the email and like you see an email from Luis to his assistant like asking her to follow up with me and it just caught like it caught my attention in my inbox I read the email and I like was just super impressed and now we leverage that sort of formula in various ways for a handful of our clients and you know it for me it broke through the clutter and really caught my attention which I think is what a good email should do.
