What Makes A Good Video? Tips From 5 Billion Views

Red Bull, Adobe and ESPN have all been my clients

I’m a father of five and I live right outside one of the most beautiful places in the world, Zion National Park. Google it! The great thing about being an entrepreneur is that you can live wherever and do exactly what you want to do.

I’m really passionate about my work and I love video as a means of communicating with your audience.

I’ve worked with some of the top Youtube channels and brands helping them to diversify their monetization strategies.

Some of my past clients include Red Bull, Adobe, ESPN, and NBC. It’s been a fun career and what I’ve learned through the process is that there are certain principles that can make you more successful at any level.

The world is ready for video to take center stage and I’m here to help make that transition. There’s a lot of interesting things you can do if you can build an audience on Youtube or any of the social platforms that host video.

There’s a lot of evergreen strategies that work and tons of ways to be creative in running your campaigns.

The only 3 ways to create good video

There are only three ways to create value and keep someone watching your video all the way through. The first way is to be inspiring. Lift that person up and change how they feel.
The second way is to educate. Here you’re providing some new information that will allow them to move closer to their goals.

This is really powerful and what a lot of entrepreneurs are already doing online. The third way is to entertain. Be captivating, humorous, or weird in an irresistible way.
When you bring at least 2 of the 3 together you can really create some magic. This is how you keep people engaged for hours on end!

My company has tried every type of video possible. For every video we put out we also do data collection so we can judge where it landed with our target viewers.
If you can’t get viewers to watch your video long enough for you to make your call to action then it’s not doing it’s job as a step in your funnel.

It’s just a waste of your time!

Make sure to spend some time thinking out how your content fits into your overall goal before you turn the camera on and start shooting.

Don’t force it!

I get that it can feel challenging to be inspiring, educational, and entertaining all at the same time. Fortunately, you don’t have to all of these or even two of the three.

You can still be successful in video by only hitting on one of the three values – but only if that’s what your audience wants.

Usually, videos will pick one and have an element of the other.

Above all, be authentic! Don’t force these attributes into your content if they don’t naturally want to be there. If you’re not a comedian, then don’t make jokes. Instead, just speak from the heart.

If you don’t have anything to teach just say hi to your fans and connect with them as people.

Ultimately you want viewers to stick with you to the end of your video and share it with their friends.

Action Steps

  1. Be positive and share your story of growth with your audience.
  2. Teach your audience your top tips and lessons that you’ve learned in your business.
  3. Be funny or captivating in how you present yourself.
  4. Use any of the above strategies in tandem to further heighten your videos appeal.
  5. End your videos with a call to action that drives traffic into your funnel.

Result You Will Achieve

Videos that keep viewers engaged until your call to action and encourages sharing.
