I had to develop a strategy with my business partners back when we all had our own SEO agencies. We were dealing with clients but we were doing it all by ourselves, separately.
We needed to figure out how to get results for clients while at the same time, build our own businesses. This was all before we had the resources to hire new people and outsource jobs.
This strategy works to automate your backlinks so you can focus on what matters most within your own business.
Once your backlink system is up and running it can work as a “set it and forget it” system.
Here’s how my system works:
In the beginning, we outlined our problem as needing to find a way to automate customer backlinks and get the content onto the website without needing to be hands-on or disturb any other website processes.
Nothing like this existed so we had to develop it. Along the way, we found a tool called IFTTT.
It’s a free tool that allows you to automate processes between websites and apps based on specific trigger events. What we realized is that there were no IFTTT processes for SEO!
So we came up with the processes ourself! Now we have IFTTT processes that can work for your blog, your YouTube channel, whatever you’re building online.
Our strategy allows you to not only amplify your content but to also create backlinks from websites like Tumblr, Blogspot, and others that have a lot of SEO value.
There are many others out there as well that are niche specific. These are just a couple to get you started.
You want all your accounts to be branded, that means add your name and logo and keep them consistent across the board. Also, you want to make each account look like a landing page.
They should all have the same message on them because these create an SEO theme around your website.
Go to IFTTT.com and create your account there. Easy!
Remember this is free! Now access my Google sheet that will give you all the recipes you’ll want to import into your IFTTT account.
All you need to do is paste the URL of these recipes into your browser and you will be good to go.
For example with Blogger.com you copy the URL into your browser and because you’re already logged into IFTTT it will populate that recipe. Boom! Now you’re set up.
These recipes typically don’t expire, if something changes due to a website update you might need to go back into IFTTT and reconnect the link.
Now as you post on your website the content will automatically be published on Blogger.com and all your other connected platforms as well.
This means you can get the most value out of your posts as possible.
An automatic backlink syndication network created using IFTTT and recipes that allow you to create duplicate content across platforms.
